Thanks for stopping by! My name is Beth, and I’m a 21 year old Music Education major who loves to cook, be healthy and learn, day by day, how to live a balanced life.
Purpose
I am SUPER excited to share recipes – the good and the bad…the successes and failures – but mostly, the fun and joy that can be found in nourishing ourselves and making peace with our bodies. There are a bazillion ways, I’m sure, to make body peace, but for me, I think the creation of food will be key. I’ll get into that later
So who am I?
I’m a daughter, sister, friend, auntie, and most importantly, a follower of Christ. I love making music, and I adore traveling…although I don’t particularly like flying. I could spend hours collecting recipes, and I actually really enjoy grocery shopping. Just like everyone else, I have battles I face daily. My biggest fight right now is anorexia, hence my belief that the creation of food will be a key element to making body peace. Since my diagnosis in late 2009, I’ve learned so much about myself, the people around me and the character of God. I have a lot of work left to do, but I have made measurable (although sometimes intangible) progress, and am always striving for forward motion. So why this blog?
In a nutshell, here’s the goal and purpose:
- To share recipes, both healthful and indulgent.
- To share my healing and recovery journey, and perhaps provide some insight or inspiration for someone along the way.
- To ultimately point to Jesus as my healer and the source of my body peace.
What you’ll see here
Recipes, obviously
Stories of my healing journey
The occasional music video link
Random shenanigans such as hikes and restaurant expeditions
Whatever else comes to mind
Enjoy

I just found your blog and you seem like an amazing and talented person with so much to offer the world. Good luck to your battle with anorexia, weight is such a struggle, I am always counting calories and being harsh on myself, but God made us for who we are for a reason, we must accept that (easier said than done for sure!) Stay strong and keep your faith, I look forward to following your blog:-)
I appreciate your encouragement so much! Self acceptance is a long and challenging road, but it’s so rewarding in the long run. I’ve learned SO much about myself on this journey, and learned a lot about the character of God. So glad you stumbled upon my blog
